lived experience informed and delivered suicide awareness and prevention programs
‘Living Perspectives of Suicide” are lived experience informed and delivered suicide awareness programs brought to you through the collaboration of Lifeline and Roses in the Ocean. The programs combine critical suicide awareness information wrapped around with lived experience perspectives and insights that enrich the content and enable a deeper understanding of suicide and effective prevention strategies.
Knowing that what is covered in this workshop has come directly from people who have walked in the shoes of suicide, combined with the latest evidence of what is effective, people gain confidence in their abilities to recognise invitations for help; to have the really difficult conversations and to source relevant and practical help. Attitudes will be challenged, myths de-bunked and a greater understanding gained of how to actively save lives.
These base programs can be easily customised for delivery into a wide range of audiences and stakeholder groups. We engage people in a consultative process when customising to ensure we are meeting expectations and needs.
Duration of delivery can be designed from 1/2 day workshops to 1 1/2 day programs.
