Following the success of our inaugural Lived Experience Summit in 2018 this inspiring event returns in 2020.  Join us in Melbourne from 13-15 May to collaboratively work on new and existing projects and research initiatives, contribute to the ongoing evolution of lived experience, join in robust discussions and develop your skills.

The Lived Experience of Suicide Summit 2020 will create an innovative, interactive, workshop-style forum where people with a lived experience of suicide, sector organisations, corporate organisations and government will stand shoulder-to-shoulder to find new ways of reducing emotional pain and distress, and saving lives.

The five key focus areas of the Summit represent significant areas of opportunity for lived experience insights, perspectives and expertise to enhance, inform and influence the way we approach suicide prevention in Australia.

  • Workforce development
  • Clinical and non-clinical intersections
  • Workplaces
  • Health and Community Services
  • Research

These key focus areas align strongly with the vision and outcomes of the Fifth National Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Plan and are consistent with current state and territory commitments and strategic planning.
