BRISBANE NORTH PHN | SAFE SPACE HUBS CO-DESIGN
Roses in the Ocean is excited to be partnering with Brisbane North PHN for the co-design of four local Safe Space Hubs across the region. The Safe Space Hubs will provide a peer led alternative to hospital emergency departments for those who experience emotional distress and suicidal crisis. For more information, please watch this short webinar.
Each of these Hubs will be co-designed with the voices and perspectives of those who experience emotional distress and suicidal crisis, people who care for them, health professionals and other relevant community representatives. We will run two co-design processes for these four Safe Spaces.
The first co-design process is for the Caboolture Hospital, The Prince Charles Hospital and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital Catchment Areas. The process will run from August through to October, the dates for each session have been provided below. The second co-design process for the Redcliffe Hospital Catchment Area begins in September, and the dates for this are tabled below.
We invite you to join the co-design if you have a background in one of the following areas:

WOULD YOU LIKE TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE CO-DESIGN PROCESS?
There are two ways in which you can contribute to the co-design process:
- By attending a series of online and face to face sessions with people who share a similar experience, health professionals and other relevant stakeholders.
- Through the Feedback Loops, which consist of a webinar and survey seeking your input on the co-design outputs.
N.B. If you wish to participate in the full co-design, we ask that you be available to attend each session relevant to your area and the Feedback Loops. These have been detailed below.
Please note that the full co-design has limited spaces. We envisage significant interest in this opportunity and the selection will be determined by ensuring diversity of lived experience and demographics. All are invited to participate in the Feedback Loops.
