The opportunity
Our Lived Experience Engagement and Integration Coordinators are responsible for ensuring the meaningful engagement of people with a lived experience of suicide and seamless delivery of short to medium term projects nationally for Roses in the Ocean.
Reporting to the Head of Lived Experience Engagement & Integration, you will work closely with key team members, as well as a wide range of external stakeholders, to plan and coordinate projects, programs and events, including all logistical and administrative requirements.
About you
You will have a fundamental knowledge of project and/or event management, coupled with exceptional administrative skills and attention to detail. You will also bring an understanding of the intersectionality of the lived experience of suicide movement and social justice.
There is a requirement to work flexible times including some weekends in order to offer hands-on support and ensure that events run smoothly (time in lieu arrangements negotiable).
Some essentials:
- A lived experience of suicide and an understanding of the impact it has on families, workplaces, friends, and communities
- Demonstrated time-management, logistics and problem-solving skills
- Experience in managing competing priorities and coordinating activities
- Sophisticated interpersonal skills, including the ability to sit comfortably with people who are distressed and have open conversations about suicide and listen with intent
