Collective Voices | Suicide Attempt Survivors with Tina
Representing the countless voices and experiences through stories and insights from suicide attempt survivors and their intersecting experiences.
“It’s really hard to describe but I think especially at 16, something happens when you consciously decide to end your life and I don’t know if it’s something that you can get back, so it’s that connection that broke way back then and I haven’t been able to fix it. I don’t even know how to fix it, but definitely something back then changed the course of the future and I’m just floating through it now.” – Tina speaks about her experiences conveying how unsafe she was feeling to mental health professionals, her lack of a vision for her future and her desire to use her lived experience to help other people in this personal and powerful interview.
